All turtles have a hard shell right? Wrong, not this big guy. Meet this unique freshwater turtles species that is actually commonly found through India, Bangladesh, Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, and the list goes on. It can grow up to 6 ft and surprisingly is an ambush predator. It is mainly carnivorous, feeding on crustaceans, mollusks, and fish. This turtle is currently regarded as an endangered species.
This is certainly what nightmares are made of. As if long legged creepy land spiders weren’t enough, they seem to have adapted to water (Not really). Meet one animal you probably weren’t aware it existed, The Japanese Spider Crab.
It has undeniably the longest leg span of any arthropod. Mostly found off the southern coasts of the Japanese island of Honshu, from Tokyo Bay to Kagoshima Prefecture. As creepy and ferocious as they seem, it is reported that they are actually gentle. I think I’ll have to pass on it though, Daddy Longlegs are enough for me.
